Bengaluru : ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಪ್ರಸರಣ ನಿಗಮ ನಿಯಮಿತ (KPTCL) ನೌಕರರ ಸಂಘವು ವೇತನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಗಡುವು ನೀಡಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ಸರಕಾರದಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಸ್ಪಂದನೆ ದೊರೆಯದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಳೆಯಿಂದ ಅನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟಾವಧಿ ಮುಷ್ಕರ ನಡೆಸಲು ಸಂಘ ಮುಂದಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮುಷ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗುವ ಮೊದಲು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು KPTCL ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ESCOM ನೌಕರರ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಿದೆ. ಇಂಧನ ಸಚಿವ ಸುನೀಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 2022 ರಿಂದ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಶೇಕಡಾ 20 ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಕೆಪಿಟಿಸಿಎಲ್ ನೌಕರರ ಸಂಘ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದೆ, ಇದೀಗ ನಾಳಿನ ಮುಷ್ಕರವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಕೆಪಿಟಿಸಿಎಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎಸ್ಕಾಂ ನೌಕರರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ವೇತನ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆ, ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್‌ನಿಂದ ಪೂರ್ವಾನ್ವಯವಾಗಿ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ಸರಕಾರದಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸ್ಪಂದನೆ ದೊರೆಯದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘವು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ 14 ದಿನಗಳ ಗಡುವು ಇಂದು ಕೊನೆಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು.
ಮುಷ್ಕರಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ಸುಮಾರು 50,000 ನೌಕರರು ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗಷ್ಟೇ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೌಕರರ ಸಂಘ ಮುಷ್ಕರ ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟು ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಿದೆ.
KPTCL ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲ ಎಸ್ಕಾಂ ನೌಕರರ ವೇತನ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆ ಹಲವರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ತಂದಿದ್ದು, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರದಿಂದ ನೌಕರರಲ್ಲಿ ನೈತಿಕ ಸ್ಥೈರ್ಯ ತುಂಬುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ. ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವು ದೀರ್ಘಾವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ KPTCL ಮತ್ತು ESCOM ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಉತ್ಪಾದಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ದಕ್ಷತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಕಾದು ನೋಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
Karnataka State Government Revises Salaries of KPTCL and ESCOM Employees
Benglauru : The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) employees’ union had given a deadline to the state government for an increase in their wages. However, with no positive response from the government, the union had planned an indefinite strike from tomorrow.
In a recent development, the state government has revised the salaries of KPTCL and all ESCOM employees before the strike was due to begin. As per Energy Minister Sunil Kumar, the existing wages have been increased by 20 percent with effect from April 2022. This decision has been welcomed by the KPTCL Employees’ Union, which has now withdrawn tomorrow’s strike.
The demand made by the union was for the revision of the salary of KPTCL and ESCOM employees and officers, with retrospective implementation from April last year. However, with no response from the government, the union had gone ahead with the 14-day deadline given to the state government, which ended today.
Prior to the strike, around 50,000 employees had planned to participate in the protest across the state. However, with the recent announcement by the state government, the employees’ union has called off the strike and will resume work as usual.
The revision of salaries for KPTCL and all ESCOM employees will come as a relief to many, and the state government’s decision is likely to boost morale among employees. It remains to be seen how this decision will affect the overall productivity and efficiency of the KPTCL and ESCOM departments in the long run.
